Websites and online stores I've built for small businesses
A tour operator in Costa Rica, a wholesale supplier in California, and a board game shop in Mexico. Here's what each business needed, what I built, and how the work changed as the business grew.
Small and family-owned businesses in tourism, e-commerce, and wholesale, in English and Spanish, across the US, Costa Rica, and Mexico.
An online booking website with payments, booking emails, and AI visibility work. My client since 2009.

I rebuilt their website in 2022 and 2023 so travelers can pick a tour and a date and book it themselves, then kept building on it as the business needed more.
Bahia Aventuras runs marine tours out of Uvita, on Costa Rica's South Pacific coast: whale and dolphin watching, Caño Island, Corcovado, and the mangroves. They sell to travelers directly and through travel agencies, and they've been my client since 2009.
In the 30 days from June 11 to July 11, 2026, ChatGPT sent Bahia Aventuras 13 tour bookings worth $2,100 USD, at a 6.38% conversion rate, measured in Usermaven. I'm not claiming I caused that. Nobody ran a before and after, so it's a demand signal rather than a result I get to take credit for.
What I did do was adjust their security rules so AI search tools can read the site instead of getting blocked at the door.
"Thanks to Zevi Media we have grown and become more competitive. They are always attentive and provide professional service."
I built them a members-only wholesale store in 2020, then opened it to every buyer in the 2025 redesign.
A family-owned start-up, Ruff Ruff Poop Bags wanted to bring a new experience to wholesale purchasing of dog waste bags. And it was all to be based around their website.
For the owners of Ruff Ruff there was never a doubt that in order for their business to hit the ground running, they needed a website that would allow them to streamline their operations so they could focus on acquiring wholesale accounts and fulfilling orders.
Because the sales model was to start by focusing on selling wholesale, I needed to develop a sort of members-only online store that had the following requirements:
As is the case with any new business, budgets were tight so there was little room for error in getting the right functionality without unnecessary bloat.
As a business evolves, so too should its website. And the case of Ruff Ruff was no different.
With sales increasing and customers placing more and more repeat orders, the next evolution of this wholesale e-commerce web store was to implement recurring subscriptions.
By making recurring subscriptions available to customers, my objective was to further streamline the ordering process for established customers by:
In 2025 the store got a full redesign, and it launched in October 2025. The members-only wall came down, so any buyer can now see prices and order online, and NET 30 invoicing is there for approved accounts. Their buyers are parks departments, HOAs, and contractors, so the new site is built around how those buyers order:

Probably, and a 30-minute call is enough to tell you whether it's a fit and roughly what it would cost.
Builds start at $3,500 USD, plus a monthly Maintenance Fee once the site is live. Both case studies on this page started with one job and grew from there, which is how most of my client work goes.
